A search for SN ejecta fragments in a molecular cloud interacting with IC443

IC443 has been known for a long time as a classical thermal shell. Recently, ithas been discovered that it is also a strong source of nonthermal Xray andgammaray radiation. Despite much work has been done which has helped us tobetter understand this object (detection of an EGRET and BeppoSAX/PDS source,detection of a plerion nebula, detection of a set of hard point sourceslocalized in the region of interaction with a molecular cloud) several issueremains open.
