[DREAL OCCITANIA] 12 Miles Area

Territorial waters or territorial seas are the part of the coastal sea over which the sovereignty of a coastal State extends. Its maximum width is set at 12 nautical miles (i.e. 22,224 metres) by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, or results from a median coastal division for neighbouring States whose coasts are less than 24 miles apart.

The layer contains a single element. It is a 12-mile buffer zone on both sides of the Occitania region.
