Archaeological sites

Amsterdam has a rich collection of archaeological sites. These can be loose objects or shards, but also all kinds of structures such as waste and raising layers, foundations, cellars, cesspools, defensive walls or muted waterways. These archaeological traces are special because they are connected to everyday life from the very beginning of the city. Over the past 40 years, Monuments and Archaeology have carried out research on construction projects throughout the city. In this dataset and on the map, a selection of 110 sites are made accessible online. Each location gives a look at the history of that particular place. By clicking on one of these 110 archaeological hotspots, the address, details of the research and findings, a photo and a reference to more background information appear on the BMA website.阿姆斯特丹拥有丰富的考古遗址馆藏。这些遗存既可为零散出土文物或陶片，也涵盖各类遗迹，如垃圾堆积层、垒筑层、地基、地窖、渗井、防御工事以及人工改造水道。此类考古遗迹的特殊之处在于，它们自城市肇始之初便与市民日常生产生活息息相关。过去四十年来，古迹与考古部门（Monuments and Archaeology）已针对全市范围内的所有建筑工程开展考古调研工作。本次数据集与配套地图精选了110处遗址，面向公众开放线上浏览。每一处点位均可展现该地块的专属历史沿革。当访客点击这110处考古热点点位中的任意一个，BMA网站将同步展示该点位的详细地址、考古研究与发掘成果详情、配套照片，以及指向更多背景资料的链接。
