资源简介:
In the complex oral environment, the resin–dentin bonding interface is constantly challenged by bacterial biofilms and enzymatic degradation, which compromise bond durability. Therefore, an ideal dental adhesive should provide durable bond strength, preserve dentin collagen stability, and exert antibacterial activity to minimize interfacial microleakage and prevent secondary caries. In this study, we developed a novel myricetin-encapsulated ZIF-8 (Myr@ZIF-8) and incorporated it into a universal adhesive. Among the tested formulations, the adhesive incorporating 5 wt % Myr@ZIF-8 exhibited potent antibacterial activity, promoted dentin collagen cross-linking, and inhibited matrix metalloproteinase (MMPs) activity, likely owing to the combined effects of Zn²⁺ and Myr.Molecular docking showed thatMyr formed stable hydrogen bonds with collagen and interacted strongly with MMP-2 and MMP-9, providing a plausible mechanistic basis for these effects. Most importantly, incorporation of 5 wt % Myr@ZIF-8 significantly improved resin–dentin bond durability after thermocycling. The modified adhesive also showed favorable biocompatibility in vitro and in vivo. These findings support Myr@ZIF-8 as a promising strategy for improving resin-dentin bond durability and preventing adhesive interface failure.
