Purpose of this Large scale centrifuge test is to investigate the properties of cohesionless soil. Properties of cohesionless soil, including shear strength and void ratio distribution was analyzed by both physical and numerical approach. This experiment was conducted by Bucknell University and ASU at the UC Davis centrifuge facility. Total of 12 samples were taken for the physical and numerical analysis. BFM and CT imaging was conducted at ASU for numerical analysis, and Bucknell conducted the Tri-axial loading test for physical analysis. Stanford has combined two data and created a numerical model. Nevada sand was prepared in the large scale centrifuge for liquefaction. 6 Samples were cored pre-liquefaction, and using the large-scale centrifuge, sand box was successfully liquefied. Another 6 samples were cored after the liquefaction.
