GAPCORE Audit Release v1.0.0 — Scientific Audit, Reproducible Evidence and Methodological Evolution of the GAPCORE Research Program

GAPCORE Audit Release v1.0 This repository documents a new stage in the GAPCORE research program. Unlike previous releases, this deposit is not intended to introduce a new theory or announce definitive discoveries. Its purpose is to openly document the independent scientific auditing process carried out throughout the development of GAPCORE. During the evolution of the project, several hypotheses were proposed, tested, revised and, whenever necessary, corrected. Rather than hiding these revisions, this release explicitly documents them. The main contribution of this repository is therefore not a new linguistic index. Instead, it demonstrates a reproducible research process based on successive audits, transparent documentation and continuous methodological refinement. The repository includes: • complete audit of the project files; • independent reproduction of statistical analyses; • robustness analyses of the NEG marker; • stability assessment under repeated resampling; • identification of important confounders (author, period and thematic representation); • metadata recovery and validation; • audit of genre representation; • information-theory audit correcting previous interpretations; • explicit documentation of current limitations. Throughout the auditing process, several interpretations were revised. These revisions are presented as an expected component of scientific progress rather than as failures of the project. At the current stage, NEG remains the most consistent marker identified under the audited protocol. However, its interpretation remains open to further validation, particularly after identifying the importance of preserving the original multilabel thematic structure of literary metadata. This release reflects one of the central principles of GAPCORE: Science is not used to defend hypotheses, but to continuously expose them to the possibility of correction. The long-term objective of GAPCORE remains the development of transparent and reproducible methods for investigating linguistic patterns related to agency, context, negativity and other dimensions of human language while carefully distinguishing empirical evidence from theoretical interpretation.
