VPRS 3589 Judge's Note Book County Court, Creswick (1888-1890) and Special Complaints, Ballarat (1932-1935)

This series comprises one volume of notes made by the judge in an handful of cases with separate jurisdictions of different courts, including details of proceedings taken down in long hand. The volume began as a note book for the County Court at Creswick between 188-1890. Many of the entries are relatively brief and, in some instances, records only the sitting day. In 1932, the volume was used to record, often extensive, notes taken down during special complaints cases heard at Ballarat. At this time, the Crewsick pages were bound together by metal studs which have since been removed. The identification of this part of the book as pertaining to special complaints cases has been made on the basis of an annotation on the cover of the volume.
