This dataset simulates the operations of a blood bank system, comprising four key components. First, it includes 20 simulated blood banks, each identified by unique attributes such as name, ZIP code location, and contact details, allowing for the management of geographically distributed blood resources. Additionally, the dataset features a population of 1,000 individuals, categorized as donors, patients, or both, with each user characterized by demographic details, blood type, and location, supporting the simulation of blood donations and transfusion requests. The blood inventory records the availability of blood components (Red Blood Cells, Whole Blood, Platelets, and Plasma) across the various blood banks. Each entry details the blood type, quantity, expiration date, and batch identifier, enabling effective inventory tracking. Moreover, the dataset logs blood transactions that link donors to specific blood bank inventories, providing information on the donor, the recipient blood bank, the blood component, quantity donated, and the date of the donation. To ensure realism, synthetic data was generated using Python’s Faker library, which provides plausible user details such as names, addresses, and contact information. This approach enables the simulation to reflect real-world blood bank operations while maintaining user anonymity, offering a comprehensive system for managing donations, inventory, and blood request fulfillment.
