资源简介:
Variations in class I and class II genes of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) can influence the outcomes of transplantation and infectious disease studies. Since the MHC is only one region in the genome where variation could impact experimental outcomes, methods for simultaneously profiling variation in the macaque MHC and the remainder of the protein coding genome would be useful. Recently, we described methods for macaque exome sequencing (MES), in which MHC class I and class II genotypes are determined with high resolution as part of a workflow that is commonly used for conventional exome analysis (Caskey et al. Immunogenetics, 2019; PMID: 31321455). Most of the animals included in this BioProject are Indian-origin rhesus and Mauritian-origin cynomolgus macaques, but there are also cohorts of Chinese-origin rhesus as well as cynomolgus macaques from mainland southeast Asia.
