For all fixed points, in addition to the coordinates in the system of the Austrian National Surveying (Use System of the Military Geographic Institute = MGI), the coordinates in the globally stored international European system ETRS89 are successively determined in several stages of realisation of different accuracy. The approximately 59.000 triangulation points (TP) form a three-dimensional point network throughout Austria with an average distance of about 1.5 km.From these TPs, approximately 270.000 switching points (EP) were derived with an average distance of 500 m.
