Assembly of Chloroplast and ITS sequences of common British trees using universal primers. Chloroplast and ITS sequences of common British trees

Use of dicot optimized universal primers for the sequencing and assembly of complete chloroplasts and ITS sequences from common/native British tree species. DNA was isolated from leaf samples and chloroplast DNA was amplified with 11 universal primers. ITS sequence was amplified with 1 universal primer sets. Mirabait was employed to extract the correct reads prior to assembly with SPAdes, finishin with Pilon and annotation with Verdant.
