Purpose: RNA sequencing was employed to analyze the alterations in gene expression profiles within the gastrocnemius muscle of mice suffering from early sepsis.Methods: RNA sequencing was conducted on the gastrocnemius muscle of sepsis mice induced by LPS, as well as normal control mice.Results:The gene expression of the gastrocnemius muscle varied between early sepsis mice and normal control mice.Conclusions: Early sepsis mice exhibit significant differential gene expression in the gastrocnemius muscle, providing a promising avenue for early detection and treatment of sepsis-induced myopathy. Overall design: Male C57BL/6J mice with SPF were selected for a single intraperitoneal injection of LPS at a dose of 10 mg/kg, while control mice were replaced with the same amount of saline. The mice were respectively executed at 18 h after LPS injection, and the gastrocnemius muscle was immediately taken. When the gastrocnemius muscle tissues were collected from all groups (sepsis group=8, control group=7), RNA sequencing was performed.
