Levies according to nature and administration: achievements

This table shows the federal revenue collected, which is used to finance the Communities and Regions. Both the overview and the detailed tables are included. The revenue collected by the federal government on a cash basis consists of tax and non-tax revenue collected by the federal government. It also includes revenues that are then transferred to other public authorities or institutions (except local authorities). As indicated, these tables follow Belgian budgetary practices which deviate from the ESA-2010 classification (listed inter alia in the National Accounts and the “Detailed Tax Inventories” (European Commission)). When the Communities and Regions take over the regional tax (collection) service (from the federal government), this revenue will no longer be included in the statistics on revenue collected at federal level.
