Heat stress is well documented to have a substantial negative economic impact on the dairy industry. N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is the most abundant internal RNA modification in eukaryotes, which plays a key role in regulating heat stress response in animals. However, it remains largely unknown in dairy cows. Therefore, we aim to determine the effects of heat stress on the m6A modification and gene expression of mammary epithelial cells of cattle to clarify the mechanism of heat stress response.
