Supplementary data for "Sex-based Differences and Determinants of Right-Ventricular Function and Right Ventricular-Pulmonary Arterial Adaptations in Older Adults"

This work investigates a novel parameter of right heart function, namely right ventricular (RV) remodelling in response to pulmonary arterial (PA) changes. Given the importance of cardio-respiratory function in declining aerobic capacity with age, sensitive metrics of RV function that includes RV and RV-PA conduit adaptations in aging would fill a critical gap in hemodynamic adaptations in the RV-pulmonary system. We performed novel CMR-derived right heart parameters and found sex-distinguishing differences in RV functions and RV-PA coupling between women and men.<br>
