In this study, we investigated the role of MPE in pancreatic β-cell function. To examine whether MPE protects β-cell function and study the underlying mechanisms, we treated MIN6 β cells with MPE to explore changes in gene expressions in vitro by microarray analysis. MIN6 cells treated with either PBS or MPE for 3 days were analyzed.
