Cryptococcus neoformans JEC20 genome sequencing

The human pathogenic Cryptococcus neoformans species complex has a global distribution, causing about 181000 deaths each year. A large body of published work on this species complex has come from studies using two strains JEC20 and JEC21. So, the genome sequencing of JEC20 was done to research the genomic difference of these two strains and analyzed the potential impacts of such differences on phenotypes.
