Pollen measurements in the Basque Country during 2021

Pollens are microscopic grains that form in the flowers of plants for reproductive purposes. Its presence is a frequent cause of allergy (polynosis) leading to, among other discomforts, acute symptoms of asthma, rhinitis or conjunctivitis. All plants, trees, grasses, shrubs and weeds produce pollen. This process takes place throughout the year, although it is true that spring is the time most prone to the appearance of allergies, as it is the time of greatest polynic production.花粉是植物花朵中产生的、用于繁殖的微观颗粒。花粉的存在是引发过敏症（polynosis）的常见诱因，除各类不适症状外，还可诱发哮喘、鼻炎或结膜炎的急性发作。所有植物、乔木、草本、灌木及杂草均可产生花粉。这一产粉过程全年均会发生，但春季确实是过敏症状最易发作的时段，因该时段的花粉生成量最高。
