Rock Physical Properties of Japan

Physical properties of 7274 rock samples were entered into the computer with SI unit standard format. Physical properties were entered from the materials unless new measurements for the developing the physical properties of rock data-base system(PROCK). Following nine items of physical properties are stored in this database, 1.density, 2.porosity, 3.thermal conductivity, 4.magnetic susceptibility, 5.natural remanent magnetization(NRM) intensity, 6.NRM declination, 7.NRM inclination, 8.Konigsberger ratio(Q ratio), 9.P waves velocity. In addition, densities and P wave velocities are divided into natural, dry and wet. This database may provide the basic data for the geophysical prospecting.
