资源简介:
Under the project “Taking Nutrition-Sensitive Carp-SIS Polyculture Technology to Scale" in India (2021–2024), funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), WorldFish has successfully developed a technical protocol for hatchery-based mass seed production of the nutrient-dense small indigenous species (SIS) mola (Amblypharyngodon mola) at a partner hatchery in Odisha. Following the initiation of mola seed sales in 2022, a detailed survey was conducted in 2023 to assess the field performance of hatchery-produced seeds. The resulting dataset captures key information on farmers who procured mola seed, collected at the time of purchase and through a comprehensive follow-up survey. Using a structured questionnaire, data were gathered on pond characteristics, seed usage, fish production, income, and household consumption. The study adhered to strict ethical standards, ensuring informed consent and data reliability throughout the process.
