Precious and rare plant species protected in classified forests managed by ONAB

This list contains rare forest species of value in the classified forests managed by ONAB. These rare valuable species have been introduced in plantations of Tectona grandis or in enrichment plantations. Furthermore, inside pure Teak plantations, the regeneration of these species is safeguarded. A spatial mapping of the distribution of these species is therefore made for consequent measures for their safeguarding in order to draw the attention of decision-makers, local elected officials and grassroots communities to the need for their preservation by all means.
