NSC endometabolome (a) and exometabolome (b) detected by LC-MS/MS or GC-MS/MS. The endometabolome and exometabolome dataset comprise a total of 215 and 86 metabolites, respectively. Following log transformation and imputation with minimum observed values for each compound, Welch’s two-sample t tests were used to identify metabolites that differed significantly between experimental groups. A summary of the numbers of metabolites that achieved statistical significance (p ≤ 0.05), as well as those approaching significance (0.05 ≤ p ≤ 0.1), is reported. An estimate of the false discovery rate (q value) is calculated to take into account the multiple comparisons that normally occur in metabolomic-based studies.
