In this model, Cre-mediated deletion of exon 3 of Ctnnb1 leads to constitutive activation of beta-catenin specifically in Osr2-expressing palatal mesenchymal cells. Bulk RNA sequencing was performed on palates isolated from E13.5 WT and Osr2-CreKI;Ctnnb1ex3f mice. This transcriptomic analysis aims to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and enriched biological pathways, thereby uncovering how aberrant Wnt/beta-catenin signaling in the mesenchyme disrupts normal palatogenesis and contributes to cleft palate pathogenesis.
