Evaluation of a virtual educational training prototype to train primary caregivers at home in the event of a family member at risk of COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic challenged home care and promoted the use of ICT to educate primary caregivers. A virtual training prototype was evaluated through a quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study with experts and end users. The content showed excellent internal consistency (α≥0.90). Ninety-seven percent of users completed all tasks. Satisfaction varied according to incomplete university education (p=0.03) and interface quality according to caregiving experience (p=0.02). We conclude that the prototype obtained high ratings and optimal usability. In addition, the usefulness of the system, quality of information, interface, and satisfaction were assessed prior to its implementation.
