Plasmids promote antimicrobial resistance through Insertion Sequence mediated gene inactivation

This project includes the sequences from clinical Enterobacterales strains isolated from the gut of hospitalized patients in the Hospital Universitario Ramon y Cajal (HURyC), Madrid, Spain. Specifically, we sequenced resistant clones (to colistin, chloramphenicol, ciprofloxacin or kanamycin) from 5 Klebsiella pneumoniae strains (isogenic pairs either carrying or not carrying the carbapenem-resistance plasmid pOXA-48). Besides, this project also contains the sequences from the community assay including 1 K. pneumoniae and 1 Citrobacter freundii strain.
