High-resolution maps of extractable Vanadium content across Australia

This dataset presents a national-scale digital soil map of aqua-regia-extractable Vanadium (V) content in Australian soils (<2 mm fraction), generated using Digital Soil Mapping (DSM) techniques. The dataset covers the estimated value and its variance prediction of V concentration in top outlet sediment (TOS, 0-10 cm) and bottom outlet sediment (BOS, 60-80 cm). Using the Cubist model, we employed data from the National Geochemical Survey of Australia (NGSA) (Caritat & Cooper, 2011) for modelling and the Northern Australia Geochemical Survey (NAGS) (Bastrakov & Main, 2020) for external validation. Note: EV = estimated value in mg/kg. VAR = variance of the predictions (mg/kg).
