资源简介:
This dataset contains the monthly normalized fluorescence line height (nFLH), photosynthetically available radiation (PAR), and sea surface temperature (SST) satellite imagery at 4km resolution over the Deepwater Horizon-affected area from 2001 to 2017. These data were further processed into a monthly time series of the spatial mean of each parameter, included in this dataset. The original MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) imagery products for nFLH, PAR, and SST were collected from the NASA Ocean color website (https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov). The nFLH data were used as an indicator of chlorophyll-a concentration to evaluate the long-term impacts of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill on the phytoplankton primary productivity in the northern Gulf of Mexico. This dataset supports the publication: Li, Y., Hu, C., Quigg, A., & Gao, H. (2019). Potential influence of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill on phytoplankton primary productivity in the northern Gulf of Mexico. Environmental Research Letters, 14(9), 094018. doi:10.1088/1748-9326/ab3735
