资源简介:
The LIDAR experiment was installed at McMurdo station (Antarctica) in August 1990 to investigate the presence of Polar Stratospheric Clouds (PSCs) in the stratosphere. With a telescope of 41.5 cm of diameter, a laser power higher than 100 mJ and 2 acquisition channels (main and cross polarization) it is able to give informations on the atmospheric aerosol load and on the optical properties of the PSCs particles. In August 1991 a photon-counting channel for temperature measurements was installed. The stratospheric temperature data set covers the end-spring season in 91, 92 and the entire winter and spring season in the succesive years, with a measurement of 30 minutes every 4 days on average and a profile range of 40 Km above 25 Km of altitude.
