Volume of Australian exports of beef, veal and live cattle, by destination

The volume of QLD Beef exports was calculated based on the share of Queensland Cattle numbers in Australia. The data was provided by the Australian Government, Department of Agriculture as part of report 139 Volume of Australian exports of beef, veal and live cattle, by destination.

In deriving information for the creation of a shape file, the following parameters were taken into account: a Fresh, chilled or frozen, in shipped weight; and b Regarded as 15 countries to May 2004, 25 countries from June 2004, then 27 countries from January 2007. The raw data was sourced from Department of Agriculture, Export Statistics, Livestock Exports, Canberra; Australian Bureau of Statistics, International Trade, Australia, cat. no. 5465.0, Canberra.

This dataset is used in conjunction with other datasets in The Cube Globe G20 visualisation project. This project provides information on Queensland agriculture through case studies from the horticulture and agriculture industries including fruit and vegetable, sugar and beef exports.
