We have publicly released the Waymo Open Dataset to assist the research community in exploring a wide range of intriguing aspects of machine perception and autonomous driving technology.

The Waymo Open Dataset comprises two core components: the Perception Dataset, which features high-resolution sensor data and annotations for 2,030 segments, and the Motion Dataset, which includes object trajectories and corresponding 3D maps for 103,354 segments.

In April 2022, we expanded the Perception Dataset to include keypoint annotations, 2D-to-3D alignment annotations, 3D semantic segmentation annotations, and a new test set for the 3D camera detection challenge.

In June 2022, we further expanded the Perception Dataset to add 2D video panoptic segmentation annotations. This release includes the V1.1 version of the Motion Dataset and the v1.4.0 version of the Perception Dataset.
