The dataset contains anonymized and generalized daily records from one-month field testing of a device designed for standardized acquisition of detailed frontal images of animals. The testing period covers August 2025. During the testing period, detailed frontal images were obtained for 5 foxes, 3 raccoons, 14 feral cats, and 2 martens. In addition, the device recorded several other small mammal and bird species (not quantified in this dataset). This dataset is related to the Czech utility model CZ 39095 U1 – Device for monitoring the occurrence of free-ranging carnivores in an urban environment and serves as supporting evidence for field validation of the technical solution. Field testing of the device (installation, operation, and acquisition of records) was carried out by the hunting ground user of Hrabišín (game manager) as an external collaborating subject. The dataset authors received the field records and subsequently processed, standardized, and prepared them for archiving and publication. The dataset is published in a generalized form without sensitive location details and without personal data.
