In the month of April 2020, when India was in lockdown to curb COVID-19 infections, there was a dip in the spending share on food and beverages in Kirana stores across major cities. This was in comparison to February 2020. Among types of food and beverages sold, salt saw low indices between March and April that year, while bread and baked goods saw a spike towards the end of April.
于2020年四月,正值印度为遏制COVID-19疫情蔓延而实施封城之际,全国各大城市中的杂货店在食品及饮料上的消费份额出现了下滑,与2020年二月相比。在所售食品及饮料的类型中,食盐于当年三月至四月间呈现出较低的指数,而面包及烘焙食品则在四月末出现显著增长。
