Soela Voyage SO 4/80 Biological Data Overview

This record is an overview entry for biological data collected on Soela cruise SO 4/80. This cruise took place in the North West Shelf during 23 May - 18 June 1980, under the leadership of Keith Sainsbury and Wade Whitelaw. Biological data collected on this cruise include demersal and pelagic fish specimens from 43 random trawl sites. Photographs of the specimens. Detailed biological data of six species as part of a continuing program: Nemipterus peroni (231), Saurida undosquamis (345), Lethrinus choerorhynchus (165), Plectorhynchus pictus (178), Priacanthus macrocanthus (34) and Lutjanus malabaricus (102). Detailed biological data of pelagic fish when found in the demersal trawl samples. Sex length frequency data and gonad samples from all species of Lethrinidae and Nemipteridae and some sparid species (particularly Argyrops bleekeri) as part of a study of sex reversal. EK 50 acoustic data.
