Qualifications of seafarers

As part of the implementation of the Convention **SCTW95** of the IMO (International Maritime Organisation) on Standards and Standards for the Training of Seafarers, the application **ITEM** (Informatisation of Titles of Maritime Education) allows: the management (registration, issuance, revalidation) of STCW95 or national titles for a holder (patented seaman) and the production of statistics (from which these data sets are produced).
This application, under the control of the **Maritime Affairs Directorate** (Sea Peoples Sub-Directorate, GM1 office) is developed and hosted by the Maritime Information Systems Sub-Directorate.

To facilitate use, the proposed data is divided into 3 sets:
officer qualifications, marine qualification and recognition visas (foreign qualifications)
The files are in csv format (separator: “;”)

The dataset “**qualifications STCW officer**” consists of:
— Administrative region for the identification of the seafarer
— Year of identification of the seafarer (year of entry of the seafarer into the profession)
— anonymised technical identifier of the holder of securities
— ITEM code of the issued title (internal ITEM application)
— Wording of the issued title
— Year of issue of the title
— Year of expiry of the title
— Associated capabilities of the title (3 maximum)
— Function associated with capacity
— Level of responsibility associated with capacity

The data set “**qualifications STCW marine**” consists of:
— Administrative region for the identification of the seafarer
— Year of identification of the seafarer (year of entry of the seafarer into the profession)
— anonymised technical identifier of the holder of securities
— ITEM code of the issued title (internal ITEM application)
— Wording of the issued title
— Year of issue of the title
— Associated capabilities of the title
— Level of responsibility associated with capacity
— Function associated with capacity

The dataset “**visa foreign STCW credentials**” consists of:
— Administrative region for the identification of the seafarer
— Year of identification of the seafarer (year of entry of the seafarer into the profession)
— anonymised technical identifier of the holder of securities
— ITEM code of the issued title (internal ITEM application)
— Wording of the issued title
— Year of issue of the title (= year of issue of the recognition visa)
— Year of expiry of the title
— Associated capabilities of the title
— Function associated with capacity
— Level of responsibility associated with capacity
