Major and trace element analyses of upper Paleozoic komatiites located near Mashhad, NE Iran

Upper Paleozoic, probably Permian, komatiites have been found in the Paleo Tethys suture zone in NE Iran. These komatiites play a crucial role in constraining the thermal evolution of the mantle throughout the Phanerozoic. Analyses of major and trace elements, along with geochemical studies of these rocks, yield important insights into the melting conditions of the hottest regions of the mantle.在伊朗东北部的古特提斯缝合带中，已发现形成于晚古生代（大概率为二叠纪）的科马提岩（komatiites）。这类科马提岩对于约束显生宙期间的地幔热演化过程具有关键意义。对这些岩石开展的主量元素、微量元素分析及地球化学研究，可为揭示地幔最热区域的熔融条件提供重要认知。
