VPRS 14003 Business Sheets - Agenda Recommendations

This series consists of copies of the agenda recommendations sent by the Commissioner of Crown Lands and Survey (VA 538) to the Executive Council (VA 2903) for approval. The top copy of the agenda recommendations is located within VPRS 1080 Minutes of the Executive Council.Correspondence numbers, land file numbers, and register numbers (relating to the Register of Orders-in-Council) are recorded next to the items on the agenda recommendations. Land file numbers are written as fraction numbers, with the file number then the section of the Land Act (e.g. 183/93). Correspondence numbers are recorded as an alpha-numeric number, and include a 'W ' series, ' Z' series, ' J' series, ' M' series, ' R ' series, ' C' series, ' G' series, ' H' series, 'K' series, and ' S' series. The lettering 'Cert' followed by a number indicates certificate numbers. XC numbers, and large numbers without an alpha prefix, which do not relate to anything else, should be checked against the relevant entry in VPRS 14001 Register of Orders-in-Council.Each agenda sheet contains the date it was sent to the Clerk of the Executive Council, approved by the Governor-in-Council, and Gazetted. Some sheets are signed by the permanent Head of the Department, and by the Minister. The topics covered by the agenda recommendations include the names and positions of employees, names of licensees and lessees complete with Parish names and acreage details, other licence and leasing issues, land alienation, road closures, and public reserves.
