Sport Centers

This dataset contains anonymized survey data collected from 229 adult recreational exercisers attending fitness and sports centers in Ankara and Kırıkkale, Turkey. The data were gathered to examine the relationships among body satisfaction, social appearance anxiety, beliefs about sport and nutritional supplements, and social media appearance comparison.The dataset supports a conditional process (moderated mediation) model in which body satisfaction predicts social appearance anxiety both directly and indirectly through supplement beliefs. Social media appearance comparison moderates the association between body satisfaction and supplement beliefs, while gender conditions the link between supplement beliefs and social appearance anxiety.All variables were assessed using validated self-report instruments with established psychometric properties in Turkish samples. The dataset is suitable for replication studies, secondary analyses on body image and social media processes, and methodological demonstrations of moderated mediation models using regression-based or structural equation approaches. No personally identifiable information is included.
