Meteoric 10Be data of soils from the Shackleton Glacier region

Abstract: We collected soil surface samples (n = 21) and depth profiles (n = 25) every 5 cm to refusal (up to 30 cm) from eleven ice-free areas along the Shackleton Glacier, a major outlet glacier of the East Antarctic Ice Sheet (EAIS). We measured meteoric 10Be concentrations, which were later used to estimate relative surface exposure ages of the soils from seven locations.摘要：本研究从东南极冰盖（East Antarctic Ice Sheet, EAIS）的主要外流冰川——沙克尔顿冰川（Shackleton Glacier）沿岸的11处无冰区域内，采集21份土壤表层样品与25组每5cm采集一次的土壤深度剖面，采样作业直至钻探受阻，最大采样深度达30cm。本研究测定了样品中的大气成因10Be浓度，并据此估算了其中7处采样点土壤的相对地表暴露年龄。
