The invention relates to wood preservatives and， more particularly， to protection coatings for thermally treated wood. A composition of the wood protection coating is proposed， designed for preventing the photochemical degradation induced by light， including ultra-violet radiation. Said composition contains the following components， in terms of mass %:alkyd resins mixture 5.2-26.7drying agents 0.01-2.2fungicide 2.1-3.1moisturizers 0.3-2.1foam suppressor 2.1-3.1surface active components 1.0-3.0iron oxide 2.2-5.0iron oxide hydrate 2.2-5.0water 45.0-60.9.The iron oxide pigment and iron oxide hydrate present in the composition in the nanoparticle form protect wood against the light induced wood colour changes.
