The goal is to investigate the role of fungal microbiota on Drosophila melanogaster fat metabolism, and examine interrelatedness between fungal and bacterial microbiota, and major metabolic pools. From Drosophila melanogaster (DGRP lines) gut samples, fungal and bacterial microbiota was identified and assess the correlation among firstly microbiota, then microbiota and host metabolism, finally host genetic and microbiota.
