To determine the microbial community dynamics at different stages, granular sludge samples were collected from reactors S1 and S2 at days 0, 10, 30, and 70 (denoted as S1, S1-10, S2-10, S1-30, S2-30, S1-70, and S2-70, respectively).Reactor parameters: This study employed two sequencing batch reactors (SBRs) with an effective volume of 10.0 L each, featuring a height-to-diameter ratio of 2:1 and a volumetric exchange ratio of 50%. Mixing during the anaerobic phase was achieved through mechanical stirring, while oxygen supply during the aerobic phase was provided by an air compressor. The total operational cycle was 6 hours, with the anaerobic phase lasting 30 minutes and the aerobic phase lasting 275 minutes. An automated control system, consisting of miniature electric ball valves and an automatic timer switch, ensured continuous operation throughout the day.Experimental control parameters: The influent flow rate was stabilized at 0.7 L/min, with a treatment capacity of 20 L/d; the aeration rate was controlled at 4 L/min, maintaining dissolved oxygen (DO) at 5 mg/L; the sludge retention time (SRT) was maintained between 3-4 days; the reaction temperature was kept constant at 20C via a temperature control device, and the pH was regulated between 7-8.
