Liver trace minerals and treponeme-associated hoof disease data for California Roosevelt elk

This is the publicly-accessible dataset collected by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife containing metadata from treponeme-associated hoof disease surveillance of Roosevelt elk from northern California. We report trace mineral concentrations from collected livers analyzed using inductively coupled plasma- optical emission spectroscopy. The data presented here were analyzed for the article accepted to <i>Journal of Wildlife Diseases</i> entitled "Liver Mineral Levels Associated with Hoof Disease Occurrence and Severity in Roosevelt Elk (<i>Cervus canadensis</i>) in California, USA" by SN Winter, MA Wild, E Lantz, C Hilson, KD Watson, JM Yamauchi, and KP Huyvaert.Mineral concentrations are reported in parts per million (ppm). ND = Concentration below detectable limits.
