*Atopy is defined by a positive SPT reaction to either one of the dust mite allergens (Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, Blomia tropicalis).$Allergic Rhinitis (AR) was classified based on 2 or more major symptoms which include (nasal congestion, rhinorrhea, nasal itching, sneezing) and a positive skin prick test reaction to one of the allergens tested. (Based on 2008 guidelines set by Allergic Rhinitis Impact on Asthma (ARIA) consortium).∧NANR controls are individuals classified based on no symptoms and history of allergic disease and a negative skin prick test reaction to ALL of the allergens tested.
