No association between PDGFRA expression and <i>PDGFRA</i> amplification in glioma cells as detected by FISH assay.

Freshly isolated glioma cells were stained with anti-CD45 and anti-PDGFRA mAbs and analyzed by flow cytometry. The remaining cells were cultured under +FGF2 condition, karyotyped and also assessed for PDGFRA copy numbers with FISH analysis. The FGF2 dependent PDGFRA expression was observed in cells derived from patients L3, L5, L6, L8, L11, L12, L13, and also L14.
