Risk management in rice production in inland areas of Orissa

The purpose of the project is to analyze the nature of risk in rice production in Orissa and draw out implications for technology design and policy improvement to help farmers better manage the climatic risk in rice production. Although the risk associated with uncertainty in prices may also be important to some farmers, the focus of the paper is on climatic risk and how farmers have adapted to such risk.
