Diverse potato collection genotyping using GBS

A diverse core collection of about 300 tetraploid potato genotypes was sequenced using genotyping by sequencing (GBS) approach. Significant amount of genotypic variations were observed in terms of SNPs in this core collection. This genotypic data will help us to investigate the genetic basis of different phenotypic traits by using the genome wide association studies (GWAS). The identified marker-trait associations (MTAs) on the basis of this data will be used for marker assisted potato breeding.
