She Power! Are Women's Name Uniqueness, Gender Preference, Initialization, and Positivity Associated with Their Earnings? Empirical data！

This dataset is derived from microdata from the 2005 national 1% population sampling survey. Due to privacy and legal restrictions, personal identification information in raw data cannot be publicly shared. In order to achieve replication and further research, we compromise by providing anonymous versions of name data, processing steps, and code files for research reference. This dataset includes 90 micro indicators including gender, year of birth, ethnicity, education level, occupation, and income status, and provides data files and codes for steps such as name cleaning, word frequency analysis, name indicator calculation, and hierarchical linear model analysis in formats DTA, IPYNB, and R. Researchers who have access to the original dataset can use this document to reproduce our analysis and further explore China's name culture.
