The Oscheius tipulae strain JU386 carries the recessive mutation mf99 in the CEW1 background (reference genome). In order to map and identify this mutation, It was crossed with the mapping strain JU170. Genomic DNA was extracted and pooled from several independant mutant F2 lines and sent for sequencing on a Illumina Hiseq 2000 plateform to generate 100-bp paired-end reads.
