AWC — Available water capacity

The AWC represents the water of a soil that can be extended by the roots of the plants. Corresponds to the amount of water between the field capacity and the withering point. The information is provided in classes and is obtained on the basis of the frequencies of the different soils in the cartographic units of the soil map.有效持水量（Available Water Capacity，AWC）指植物根系可吸收利用的土壤水分。该参数对应田间持水量（field capacity）与凋萎系数（withering point）之间的水分含量。本数据集以类别形式提供，其计算基于土壤地图制图单元（cartographic units）内不同土壤的出现频率。
