PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance sealability of a suction section and to manufacture a sheet having uniform quality. SOLUTION: A sheet manufacturing apparatus comprises: a drum section having a plurality of openings; a mesh body having a deposition surface on which a material containing fiber passing through the plurality of openings is deposited as a web and transporting the web deposited; a suction section sucking the material passing through the openings onto the mesh body， the suction section having a first housing section for defining a sucking region at a reverse surface side of the deposition surface of the mesh body; a first roller brought into contact with a reverse surface of the mesh body disposed outside the first housing section; and a first seal section being provided on the first housing section and brought into contact with an outer peripheral surface of the first roller.
